How to move your Quickbooks files onto your Quickbooks hosted server

Follow the steps below: 

PLEASE NOTE: THE SYSTEM WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO MOVE LIVE QUICKBOOKS FILES ONTO THE SERVER

IMPORTANT STEPS

Step 1) Open QuickBooks on your computer

Step 2) Go to the main menu in QuickBooks and choose File, then choose Create Backup

Step 3) Choose Local backup, then choose Next

Step 4) Choose Save it now, then click Next

Step 5) Click the Browse button

Step 6) Navigate to your local C drive and click the link so that it is highlighted and click OK

Step 7) You will see your local drive C in the box, please type QBTransferb as seen below. We will create a backup to this folder. Click OK.

Step 8) Click YES when the following message appears.

Step 9) If you receive this message, choose USE THIS LOCATION.

Step 10) Click Save it now and then click Next

Step 11) Please note at the top of this window, you are now in the QBTransfer directory.
At the bottom of this window is your backup's file name. Click SAVE.

Step 12) If this message appears, click USE THIS LOCATION.

Step 13) Please wait for the saving to complete. This is your progress meter.

NOTE: Now that your QuickBook company file has been saved to your local computer, we are now ready to upload this file to the cloud.

Step 14) Please close your local copy of QuickBooks. Click File, then click Exit

Step 15) Login to your Cloud. Go to http://www.NovelASPect.com and click LOGIN the far top, right.

Step 16) Enter your Username and Password from your welcome email and click Log On

Step 17) Click your QuickBooks shortcut on your dashboard

Note: If you receive any "File Security Warnings", click Permit

 Step 18) In QuickBooks (in the cloud) go to the main menu and choose File, then choose Open or Restore Company

Step 19) Choose Restore a Backup Copy and click Next

Step 19) Choose Local Backup and then click Next

Step 20) Navigate to your local file through the top menu (1). Once you locate your Quickbook backup file, click the file so that it is highlighted (2), then verify the name in the file name box at the bottom (3), and then click Open (4).

Step 21) Click Next

Step 22) Click the drop-down menu at the top (1),  then click the drive labeled Q (this is your cloud drive), then click Save button at the bottom right.

Note: If you have more than one company file you may wish to create multiple folders to organize your files.

 Step 23) This message confirms you are secure in the cloud. Click OK.
